For phase 1, the WE CARE Project is donating 200,000 FDA-registered medical masks to American hospitals that are in shortage of masks, 60k to Seattle, 60k to San Jose, and 80k to New York, Seattle. Bethel Renewal Center lent us 110,000 USD to pay for the total cost. Now, the WE CARE Project is fundraising to pay them back.

For Phase 2, the WE CARE Project seeks to buy a total of 200,000 surgical masks at $120,000 for NYC, NJ, and Michigan. As of 4/1, the WE CARE Project has bought 60,000 masks with higher quality (ASTM level 2) on March 31 for $34800 to donate to hospitals in NYC, New Jersey, and Michigan, the three most pandemic-stricken locations. As of 4/1 4pm PST, no money has been raised for phase 2 yet.

Because all of the WE CARE Project team members are volunteers, 100% donations will go to the purchasing and shipping costs and taxes.
